You are so right Dan! Things are getting worse all the time unfortunately.

Thanks for the kind words on my commentary about this on my blog. Much appreciated.

I get so saddened about where things are going. And I really think that it is great to see younger people get their eyes opened to this reality. It seemed that the various "Digital Control" groups (or as I like to call them "entertainment cartels," were just waiting for the older people who knew what it was like before the totally irrational digital locks - before the DMCA and unbelievable copyright law extensions - were in place had died off so they would shut up and go away. That will not be true as long as younger folks are there to pick up the torch and bear it forward.

Innovation and fair use can not be stifled in this way. It will be the end of so many things. They keep overreaching further and further with these types of laws to the point that one would be hard pressed NOT to break them!

When a society gets this far out of whack, to the point where they basically are considering everyone to be a pirate or criminal, you really have to wonder where our 'innocent until proven guilty' society has gone!

Whether they have the right or not to go this far in the so-called protection of their copyrighted properties, and that too is debatable, is it prudent to treat their law-abiding citizens/customers in this way?

What happens when you push a child too far, or take away rights or privileges that have previously been allowed? They will rebel, no? The same is true with citizenry/customers that are hampered in a similar manner. This is human nature. And they just don't get it. Even the most law abiding citizen will rightfully buck such overbearing enforcement.

Thanks for being there, Dan!
